Josiah announces candidacy for Ohio House District 22
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Columbus, August 14, 2021 - Today, at the Ohioans for Concealed Carry annual picnic, Josiah Lanning formally announced his candidacy for the open House seat of District 22. During his speech, Lanning outlined some of the unique problems the district and the state have faced as a result of COVID government overreach.
"Over the past year and a half, a perversion of the American view of government has taken place. Our natural, unalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation of government."
Relating to the founding fathers, Lanning called for the "guardians of freedom" to once again heed the call of duty.
"The 'emergency powers' precedent we have established under the guise of 'public health emergency' will someday evolve into a Second Amendment infringement cloaked as a 'public mental health crisis' if we continue to neglect our duty as the guardians of freedom. Our Founding Fathers understood it is impossible to comply your way to freedom - the only path forward is through resistance. Freedom’s resistance starts at the ballot box, removing every complacent, power-driven politician and replacing them with limited government, pro-freedom, pro-Second Amendment candidates."
In his closing remarks, Josiah called for 2021 and 2022 to be the years the "freedom variant spread like wildfire" and rejected any notion of mandates, discrimination or segregation. For more information about the campaign, please go to LanningforOhio.org
